My Teaching Philosophy

I believe every child has innate musical ability. My goal is to unlock that potential through a supportive, structured, and fun environment.

Joy-First Learning

Building a love for music through games, positive reinforcement, and repertoire that kids actually want to play in Piano, Voice, and Music Theory.

Creativity & Expression

Encouraging improvisation and composition from day one. Students don't just read music; they learn to speak it through Sight Reading, Sight Singing, and creative exercises.

psychology

Musical Understanding

Focusing on practical skills and musical understanding rather than just rote learning. Students comprehend Music Theory deeply and apply it across all aspects.

A Personal Note

"Here's what I've learned after a decade of teaching:

Every child has music inside them. The question isn't whether they're 'talented enough'- it's whether we're patient enough to help them find their voice.

I've watched shy seven-year-olds transform into confident performers. I've seen teenagers who thought they 'weren't musical' discover they'd just never been taught in a way that made sense to them. And I've learned that the students who stick with music long-term aren't the ones who started with perfect pitch—they're the ones who felt seen, heard, and celebrated from day one.

That's why at Pitch Perfect, we don't just teach notes and scales. We build confidence. We nurture curiosity. We create a space where mistakes are proof that you're learning, not failing. Your child won't just learn to play an instrument here. They'll learn to trust their creative instincts, to collaborate with others, and to find joy in the process of getting better at something—not just being good at it.

If you're looking for a music school that treats your child like a unique learner (not a seat in a classroom), where progress is measured in smiles as much as skill, then I'd love to meet you both.

Let's start with a conversation - and maybe a trial lesson where your child can experience what music lessons feel like when they're actually fun."

Core Beliefs

Why I Teach Differently

  • 1

Ear First, Eyes Second: We teach students to "hear" the music before they even touch a key.

  • 2

The 6-Student Rule: No one gets lost in the back. If a child is quiet, we help them find their voice.

  • 3

Beyond the Notes: We focus on building confidence, creativity, and lifelong skills through music.

Happy Parents & Students

Don't just take our word for it.

"Enrolling my son at PitchPerfect for piano lessons has been one of the best decisions we’ve made. His teacher has a wonderful way of connecting with him, making each lesson engaging and motivating. The growth in his skills, focus, and musical appreciation has been truly impressive. Beyond learning the piano, he is developing confidence, patience, and a genuine passion for music. We are extremely grateful for the care and excellence shown in his teaching."

"I didn't know my son had such a sharp ear for music until he started here. The facilitators have a gift for spotting a child's unique strength and nurturing it. The environment is safe, professional, and very welcoming. Simply the best keyboard lessons for kids. Very patient teachers and great results. Highly recommended for any busy parent in Accra."

"I am very impressed with how much my son has progressed since he started learning keyboard here. He has moved from being a beginner to playing complete pieces and can now read basic music notes with confidence. Most importantly, he is genuinely enthusiastic about learning and enjoys practicing. I also really appreciate the facilitator’s teaching approach—it is patient, well-structured, and encouraging, which makes learning enjoyable and effective. I would highly recommend these lessons to any parent looking for a great introduction to keyboard playing for their child."
